Keep in an airtight container or bag and store at room temperature for up to 5 days.
To Freeze
Keep in an airtight container or bag and freeze for up to 2 months. To eat, reheat the cookie in the microwave or oven, alternatively, you can leave it to defrost overnight at room temperature.


Red Velvet Crinkle Cookies
Description
These red velvet crinkle cookies are soft, chewy, and delicious. Beautiful cracks and powdered sugar covering the surface makes it a great gift or a Valentines day treat!

In a stand mixer, beat the softened butter and sugars on high until light and fluffy. Add the eggs, vanilla extract, and food coloring and beat until fluffy combined for approximately 2 more minutes.

Sift the flour, cacao powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt into the butter mixture. Mix on low speed until just combined. Refrigerate dough for 1 hour.

Preheat the oven to 350F and line several pans with parchment paper.

Using a 1-inch ice cream scoop, divide the dough evenly. Roll the dough in the granulated sugar, followed by the powdered sugar, and place on pan to bake. Repeat this process until all the cookie dough balls have been covered in sugar.

Bake for 10 minutes, or until cracks have formed and cookies look puffy. Allow cookies to cool for 20 minutes before serving.
